Edward A. Evans is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Univar. Ed Evans joined Univar in January 2010 as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to Univar, Ed served as Executive Vice President and Chief Personnel Officer at Allied Waste Industries, Inc. from 2005 through its successful merger with Republic Services in 2009. The merger created a $9.1 billion, Fortune 300 company; the number two player in the waste, recycling, and renewable energy sector, employing 35,000 people. Prior to joining Allied Waste, Ed spent 30 years in positions of increasing responsibilities in general management, human resources, and organizational development. Immediately prior to his role with Allied, he served as the Founding Director for what is now the Leland C and Mary M Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship in Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. Ed spent 14 years with ARAMARK Corporation as a Vice President and Senior Vice President of Human Resources based in Philadelphia and then Los Angeles. Prior to ARAMARK, Ed spent 16 years with Saga Foodservice and Marriott Corporation in general management and human resources roles in Pennsylvania, New York, Texas, Oregon, and finally at Marriott headquarters in Washington, DC. Born and raised in Ithaca, New York, Ed earned his BS and MBA from Cornell University. |
