Antwerp, Belgium – 12th May 2009 – Univar, a world leader in chemical distribution announced the appointment of Paul Henderson as Country Leader Switzerland starting 11th May 2009.
Before joining Univar Switzerland, Henderson held a leadership position in Distrupol, a Univar company, which is a major distribution and service supplier to the polymer consuming industry in Europe. In this position, he successfully grew the business in the UK, Ireland, Benelux and the Nordic region.
In his new role, Henderson will lead Univar’s successful Swiss team into a new era of top-line growth.
Henderson joins Univar Europe following an international career with more than 30 years in the chemical industry. He has worked in South Africa, the United States and Germany with ICI and in Switzerland with DuPont. He gained in-depth knowledge and experience in a range of management positions in several relevant sectors including petrochemicals (ICI), synthetic fibres (ICI/DuPont), specialty waxes (Burmah Castrol), acrylics (Lucite International) and plastics polymers (Distrupol).
Based in Zurich, Henderson will report to the Regional Director for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe.
